Bleach blonde?
BTR Sock Monkey, Myotonic buckling born earlier this year took his sweet time shedding his baby coat. I recently noticed that he looks as though he has bleached out his skirting, along his back and even his topknot. He is already most unusual due to his coloration to begin with.......brown with silver undertones and now the platinum blonde accessories. What a character!

What is this green stuff?
We are in the midst of an ugly drought. No grass or browse left, hay is almost impossible to find. What little was baled here in June got shipped out of state to Texas. Now we are dried up and no hay for the locals. This is the first time in my goat endeavor that I am not sure we are going to be able to find enough to get us through next month much less all winter. Found this photo taken back in May when everything was nice and green from all the rains we were getting. The goats never pass up an opportunity to use the buggy to help them to reach green leaves. That is Camille, nubian/alpine doe, daughter of Cameo from last year with Philicia our LaMancha doe watching, or maybe she is giving instructions! -Pat

Cinderella
I mentioned a while back that we had 3 feral kitties. Cinderella is the only one of the three we haven't been successful in taming down or catching to take her and get her spayed. We've worked really hard this year with befriending her and Ms Charlie even gave her a name. She chose the name "Cinderella" for her since she was yellow and had 2 mean step-sisters. Dot and Dash (my boring choice of names) have never cared for poor Cinderella. Actually it is Dash that is the nastiest to her. Dot is usually hanging out around the house looking for an inside job.
